About the Artist

As an artist who began repainting Tonner dolls in 2009, I have immersed myself in the transformative world of doll artistry, uncovering the unique potential of this medium. Doll repainting is more than a craft or hobby; it is a compelling art form that blends the precision of fine art with the whimsy of collectible dolls. Through meticulous processes, I remove the factory paint from dolls and painstakingly repaint the faces and restyle the hair. I often also reshape their features with resin clay or resculpt the vinyl - all to create hyper-realistic representations that breathe life into these miniature figures. I have reimagined hundreds of these dolls, which have been purchased and enjoyed worldwide.

Each doll becomes a canvas, where I employ fabric, clay, and various materials to fashion intricate costumes that reflect fantasy figures, beloved celebrities, and iconic characters. My dolls are more than mere collectibles; they are multimedia masterpieces that invite viewers into a realm of imagination and artistry. This endeavor requires not only artistic skill but also an understanding of character and narrative — qualities that resonate deeply with art enthusiasts.

After a brief battle with breast cancer, I made the decision to pause my journey in doll artistry in 2017 to pursue a different path as a Financial Advisor, after earning my master’s in integrated marketing communications. However, the pull of my passion for doll artistry was irresistible, leading me to return to this vibrant world full-time. I believe that doll repainting deserves recognition within the artistic community for its unique blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and storytelling.

I hope to share this art form with a wider audience, bridging the gap between traditional artistic expressions and innovative, modern practices. I will continue to provide exposure to the intricate beauty of doll repainting and the profound stories that each piece conveys.
